Peninsula Addiction Services recognizes chemical dependency as a disease that is progressive, potentially fatal and treatable.

Addiction is characterized by compulsion and continued use despite adverse consequences. It is debilitating to the addicted person's emotional, social and spiritual well-being.

Penninsula Addiction Services believes that the treatment of chemical dependency is a process requiring the intervention of skilled addiction professionals and the commitment of self-help philosophies of A.A., N.A. and Alanon for a successful approach in treating the disease of addiction.
